So, do you have any plans for Valentine’s Day? When I worked as a waitress at an Italian restaurant chain, I remember how ridiculously crowded the place was on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was packed, there were people overflowing out the door of the lobby while they patiently waited for a table to share a “romantic” dinner with their significant others.
Honestly, does this sound “romantic” at all? I don’t think so. The entire point of Valentine’s Day is to have special moments just between the two of you, not between you and 50 other hungry couples waiting for a table and yelling conversation over music and ambient noise.
This year I propose you host your very special romantic dinner date at home. You set the mood, you set the music, you set the menu, and you benefit from a truly exquisite one-on-one evening with your lover. With just a little bit of preparing ahead and special recipe selection, you can time your dinner perfectly so that you spend minimal time away from your companion, and I’m here to show you how!

What a great idea! I love how you’ve laid everything out for us and even thought out the menu. It all looks so romantic! I hope that boyfriend of yours knows how lucky he is to have a woman who goes to that extra effort to make everything perfect for him (of course, you are lucky too! He’s a real cutie and he even brought your piglet carrots! How thoughtful!). I really love your new show, it’s so fun to watch. And I always love seeing Cupcake!
Thank you, Helen! I thought up this “date” because I love to cook home made meals, but who wants to be caught up in the kitchen while there’s a handsome man at the table? That’s why this type of forethought works really well for dinner parties, also. I’ve frequently been to dinner parties where the host disappears for a while trying to get things prepared and cooked. It’s much easier to have things prepared in advance so you can spend a minimal amount of time away from your guests.
So cute and thanks for the tips! I love the hearts between scenes that float up. Your pig is so cute. How did you make those chocolate cups?
Thanks, Colby! Cupcake is definitely the world’s cutest pig. The chocolate cups are in an upcoming episode/post of mine
do u really have a pig? does it really live in the house and wear a bow?
Yes, I really have a pig! She is a teacup potbelly pig (yes, this is how big a teacup pig gets!). She does live in the house, but loves to roam around the yard as well. She only wears a bow for the show, as she much prefers being naked
Loved this episode! The fish looked amazing and cool idea with the dessert. Looks like you have a great guy there too! Can’t wait to see your next episode.
Thank you, Melcher
I’m having a really fun time with the show, so hopefully the episodes keep improving!
You are a stunning woman. Absolutely gorgeous.
I wish there was a smiley face for “blushing”
Thank you
That was a very cute episode and great idea. Maybe I’ll use this on my husband this year. He would be so surprised! I agree you are beautiful… and your date is definitely hot! Nice work
