Mega Green and Garlic Juice and The Cleanse: Day 7

Mega Green and Garlic Juice and day 7 of my cleanse. Halfway there!

Mega Green Juice and Garlic

Morning Exercise: Weight Lifting focusing on Back and Chest, Kettle Bells.

Breakfast: Watermelon Orange Berry Juice

Lunch: Mega Green and Garlic Juice

Dinner: Salsa Juice

Snack: Coconut Water

I feel: Great. I really do. The skin on my face is very clear and smooth, the skin on my body is as well, and I’m in a brilliant mood. I’m enjoying juicing more and more and am having a fun time adding herbs and spices to my juices. Giving them names is a little difficult because most of them are green… and they can’t all be called “Green Juice”. I’m still without hunger or cravings for other foods, although I sometimes reminiscently miss things like salmon… Or start planning on days when I can eat tabbouleh and falafel again. And I do daydream a lot about new recipes to add to my blog that don’t involve juice… But that’s ok! Those things will come with time!

I’m officially halfway through the cleanse and I don’t really feel like it has upset my life in any way. Tomorrow I’m filming another episode of Door to Door, which makes it a tiny bit more difficult to juice as often as I need to. But… I’m bringing my juicer with me! We’ll be at a home and there will be an outlet, so what excuse do I really have? Juice juice juice! Juice for everyone!

Weight Lost: 0 lbs. I was a little disappointed that all the water weight is gone… but oh well! Perhaps I’ll lose some “real” weight from here 🙂

Total Weight Lost: 7 lbs.

Mega Green Juice and Garlic2

This Mega Green and Garlic Juice is absolutely delicious. It tastes really nice like a gazpacho and the addition of a bit of fresh ground black pepper and olive oil sends it over the top. It’s very dense in nutrients and very green in color!

Mega Green and Garlic Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tomato
  • 8 Leaves Swiss Chard
  • 5 Kale Leaves
  • 1 Cup Spinach
  • 5 Stalks of Asparagus
  • 2 Stalks of Celery
  • 1/2 of a Cucumber
  • 1 Clove of Garlic
  • Handful Fresh Basil Leaves

Send everything through your juicer and enjoy what comes out the other end! A tip for juicing greens, I use a Breville and I find that if I wad the greens up and send them through first, the more juicy veggies like the cucumbers and celery and tomatoes will then help push the rest of the nutrients through afterward. I also send my garlic through in a big wad of swiss chard, otherwise it’ll just shoot out the back of the juicer, unjuiced. I also like to sprinkle this juice with some fresh ground black pepper and a tiny bit of olive oil. Yum!
