Garden Patch Green Juice and The Cleanse: Day 11

Garden Patch Green Juice and day 11 of my cleanse. Holy cow, it’s almost over. I’m not really sure how I feel about that. Bittersweet?

Garden Patch Green Juice

Morning Exercise: Weights focused on chest, shoulders, back, and legs and a beautiful morning stroll on the greenway.

Breakfast: Pineapple Berry Juice

Lunch: Cantaloupe Strawberry Juice

Dinner: Garden Patch Green Juice

Snack: Grapefruit Juice

I feel: I woke up so energized this morning that all I wanted to do was exercise and be active. After I left the gym I just felt like exercising some more, so I went on a 5 mile walk and it was glorious. We ended up going to see Godzilla today because there was a storm a-brewing… but then the storm never happened and I felt a little guilty for spending so many hours of the day at a movie, but Godzilla was pretty good. Since I saw it in 3D IMAX, I basically spent the day running around Japan and San Francisco… Right?

I may have had too many fruit juices today, but I just couldn’t help myself. It was such a hot day and all of the fruits were just so refreshing. Cantaloupe and pineapple basically melt my heart of days like this, they are so juicy and just… yum. I have to admit it’s becoming a little bit harder to do the cleanse now in the last few days. I’m not really having any other cravings for food beyond juice, but I’m finding myself needing a lot more juice to sustain myself. I’m actually getting hunger pains and a growling stomach now, which I wasn’t feeling any of before. I went for a pretty simple solution, though, and just upped my juice intake a bit. I only have 3 days left, so let’s see how I hold out!

Total Weight Lost: 9 lbs.

Garden Patch Green JuiceThis Garden Patch Green Juice is pretty delicious and pretty strongly a vegetable juice. It tastes a bit like a cold soup, but in a very refreshing way, with the sweetness of the yellow bell pepper and the tomato and the great zesty taste of the celery. The spinach, cucumber, and zucchini are barely noticeable, but their nutrients are certainly in there! I called it the garden patch juice because all of the ingredients are ones you’d typically find in someone’s mini summer garden… Like mine!

  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 3 Stalks Celery
  • 1/2 Cucumber

It’s natural to feel that way. Bittersweet indeed! But, just put it this way, you’ve achieved your goal! For that, congratulations! But, how are you holding up, after almost a year now? I’d love to read it.
