Chocolate Chip Cookie Reese's Pieces Brownies

A layer of chocolate cookie with a brownie baked on top, covered in Reese's Pieces Easter Eggs (or sub regular Reese's Pieces)
Ingredients
Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer:
  • 1 Cup Butter, Softened
  • 1½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2¼ Cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 12oz. Bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Brownie Layer:
  • ⅓ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ½ Cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Cup All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ tsp. Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp. Sea Salt
  • About 1 Cup Reese’s Pieces Pastel Eggs (or to your liking) *
Instructions
For the Cookie Layer:
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt, and slowly add it to the wet ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Spread evenly in a 9×13 glass baking dish.
For the Brownie Layer:
  1. Mix butter, sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add these ingredients to the wet mixture, blending thoroughly.
  3. Pour over the top of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer and spread evenly with a spatula.
  4. Sprinkle Reese’s PIeces Eggs evenly over the top of the brownie layer.
  5. Place in the oven for 35 minutes. When finished, allow to cool completely on a cooling rack. Cut into squares, serve warm, at room temp, or out of the fridge.
